Today we got the opportunity to laser engrave a brown leather journal. Leather is one of our favorite substrates to do laser engraving on because it gives such a rich and consistent look.
For those engravers out there who are following this blog, I would highly suggest laser engraving on leather that is light brown or tan, over black colored leathers. As you might imagine laser engraving on black leather just doesn't work to well. Many times I get customers asking for suggestions when choosing leather portfolios, or bookmarks and I always suggest light colors.
This particular journal was purchased at Barnes and Noble for a reasonable price and simply adding the Bride and Grooms name with their wedding date made for a great gift!
